Dr. Steve Bonenberger is not merely the founder of Canopy—he is its architect, its heartbeat, and its prophetic voice. With over 40 years of experience in ministry, clinical care, and creative leadership, Steve has devoted his life to building systems that heal, restore, and launch lives into legacy.

Dr. Steve Bonenberger is a visionary author, clinical practitioner, and pastoral theologian whose life’s work centers on healing the ones the culture casts aside. With over four decades of experience in spiritual leadership, narrative therapy, and immersive care frameworks, Steve now leads Canopy—a faith-centered, client-centered initiative of St. Alegis Ministries devoted to intelligent, restorative adolescent care.
